INITIAL SETUP
Review the included Readme.txt file which is distributed with the CodeSnippits zip file for complete setup instructions. If you are installing the CodeSnippits software within a subdirectory of a web site, be sure to establish the folder as an Application Directory within IIS. To do so, open the IIS manager on the server. Open the URL in the IIS manager, browser to the folder, right click and press Properties and Select the Application Settings > Create button. From there be sure to read the security information in the instructions.
SECURITY
The CodeSnippits system reads and writes the config.xml and snippits.xml files based upon updated CodeSnippits information. Additionally, all attached files to CodeSnippits are stored within the /files/ directory. For the CodeSnippits to properly function this folder must have "WRITE" permissions by the IUSER and IWAM IIS accounts. This can either be done in IIS or through Windows Explorer. To do so using Windows Explorer, right click on the "files" folder and select Properties. Under the Security Tab, add the IUSER and IWAM IIS accounts to the permissions and select "WRITE" for both.
If you are using Windows XP and do not see the Securities tab do the following :
run the command : gpedit.msc
you will see a window "Group Policy"
Open Local Computer Policy > Computer Configration > Windows Setting > Security Setting > Local Policies > Security Options
